Today I walked into my flat and was surprised that I had a yellow slip requesting me to get a parcel from the admin office. I was thinking to myself... Hmm... who will be sending me parcel? I can't really think of anyone, also, I'm not expecting any parcel from home as well. Ha ha... I never received any parcel since I got here a year ago. So all these seem very exciting to me. So with much enthusiasm, I went down to the admin office expecting a surprise. And sure did I get a surprise. Up came a parcel box reading "United States Postal Service Par Avion Airmail". Wow.. a parcel from the USA and I have guessed it coming from my previous flatmate Sana! What a pleasant surprise....ha ha! I got back to my room and opened up the parcel to see what other surprises I got.

And it was a belated birthday present from my American friend!!! How sweet of her! Ha ha... And here is what I uncovered. It was like an American hamper...ha ha!

*1 Hubba Bubba Bubble Tape (6 feet of Bubble Gum)
*1 Bubblicious Bubblegum- Carnical Cotton Candy flavour
*1 Bubblicious Bubblegum- Lebron's Lightning Lemonade flavour
*2 Reese's Peanut Butter Cups... Yummy!!!
*1 Pop Tart... Love those especially for a quick breakfast
*1 Indians Chief Wahoo Milk Chocolate Crispie Bar
*1 Giant Slim Spicy Smoked Snack.... Beef Jerky
*1 pack of Kool-Aid-Tropical Punch flavour... Just mix with water for instant fruit juice...How cool is that!
*1 God Bless America pin up CD... Told ya is American....
*1 August edition of People magazine... Brad Pitt's on the cover
*1 2007 American Monument calendar... to take me past next year!

Ha ha... Wow... there's really quite a bit of goodies here! Gonna slowly feat and enjoy all of them. Ha ha... Thank you so much Sana! This post is for you! Lots of **HUGS!!!** from down under!!

Today after church, got a lift from Jean (Thanks Jean) to the city to meet Weijie and Rachel. Ha ha... she an air stewardess so she's only here for a day. Remeber the cake Weijie made yersterday? Yeah well, supposed to celebrate her birthday today. Anyway, while we were walking down NOrthbridge, guess who we saw!!! Sharon Au!!!! I saw her and thought she looked very familiar. Should have gone up and asked her for a picture...ha ha! Weijie had this whole plot of acting as Sharon Au fanatics...ha ha!

We had dinner at Hogs Breath before the Hogs Breath Stuff sang happy birthday after knowing it wa Rache's birthday. It was a good time just catching up with her. Been a while since I last saw her. We had burgers and steak. A good meal nonetheless with good company. Hang out at her Sheraton hotel room watch Australian Idol. Before we go, Weijie actually insisted taking the hotel's pillow with him and charging the bill to Rachel...ha ha! It was so funny, but the pillow was really comfy though. Of course Rachel stopped him...ha ha! She said cannot throw SIA's face...ha ha! Well, here are some photos for you all to enjoy! Cheers!

Just came back from a night out in the city. What I thought will be a quiet night turned out to be quite big...ha ha! Huiqian came back from shopping and asked that we should have dinner out. So I suggested to try a new place down at East Perth. Ha ha... It is a kind of a romantic upmarket place. A good place to bring your loved ones there actually. Complements to my flatmate, Jeremy, for recommending this place. Really nice place set along a river of some sort. Imagine Clark Quay without the humidity. It's quite an upmarket place though. But a really nice place to hang out. Settled for this restaurant where most of us had some nice lamb shanks. Think my first time trying it proper and I absolutely loved it. It was great. After dinner, we decided to go to Moon Cafe to chill a little. Had some desserts and hot chocolate.

The night was not over yet. After that, dropped by Weijie's place to help him decorate his cheesecake (which he baked) for Rachel tomorrow. So got back quite late. And yeah... East Perth has my thumbs up.

The 9th of August. Singapore's 41st National Day. My second National Day away from home actually...ha ha! Well, last year's National Day in Perth wasn't at all exciting. So come this year, a bunch of friends came together and thought we should have a celebration for our National Day. Bring as many Singaporeans together and had a ball of a time. This idea actually came just 6 days ago and preparation went straight underway. We had our tavern booked and all the equipment and stuff prepared. We went all the way out of even organising a quiz along with snack prizes. Initially, we even wanted to have them serve the Singapore Sling. However, due to the fact that not all ingredients are available, they actually made us a variation and we named it the "Singapore Swing"....ha ha! Well, it wasn't too bad. If it ever get's famous, you know it started from the Murdoch Tavern.

Anyway, we were all super excited about tonight and it finally came. I tell you, we had more people coming than we expected. This event actually just by word or mouth actually spreded far and wide. It was a potluck and tonight we were far from shortage of food. In fact, the leftovers we had were so much. Also, we had the live webcast of the National Day Parade being screened too. Yeah... it was great. The quiz had everyone on their feet screaming and jumping just to answer the question. Also, Jith made a really good and nostalgic presentation about Singapore that just made all of us miss home. The night ended a a high and all of us just sat round to chat and drink. We had seriously so much fun and looking forward to doing something similar again...ha ha! Happy Birthday Singapore!

This post is dedicated to the Sunny Island!

Think I have some thanks which I would like to honour on my blog. Well, my birthday was about a month away but last Saturday my bunch of friends who went back to Singapore during the break decided to to celebrate for me! Well, it was a surprise alright, although it was not totally a surprise surprise, but I must say that I am very surprised by their effort and their motive of celebrating my belated birthday for me. Thank you guys and gals so much. I got a really nice NIKE jacket which I will be wearing it quite often as well as a griller. I must say, it is a really solid looking one. Apparently it wasn't that cheap at all. So yeah, gonna use it soon. Maybe will get some steak and have a grill party or something...ha ha! Not sure what to do yet but I'm definitely gonna make full use of it. Had dinner at Sizzler and really had a great time just catching up with all of them at the start of the sem.

Thanks to my Sydney/Gold Coast Roadtrip buddies too who celebrated my birthday at Surfer's Paradise. Ha ha... went to a Chinese buffet place. It was alright but they still surprised me with a tub of Baskin Robbins ice cream 'cake'...ha ha! It did fine for all of us. They got me a pair of SpongeBob Boxers and a Movie World Clap Board...ha ha! Exactly what I was thinking of getting. Then the night was followed by some free drinks at the clubs cos all my friends just publicised that it was my birthday...ha ha! I tell you, the Ozzie people here are really very hospitable. The boss of a club actually came and wished me Happy Birthday personally and told me to order absolutely anything from the bar. Ha ha.... I went for a martini. Sweet! Had a great time. Just missed those holidays at the East Coast.

Well, back to reality and back to Uni. Gonna work harder on my readings...ha ha! Cheers!
