Felt boredtoday but thank God for Arthur, Alvin and Daisy. They asked me to join them for dinner at the place that serves the world's best pizza. Ha ha ha.... but I must tell you, this entire day I ate nothing but pizza. Apparently, it was the great Australian weekend and Eagle boys had pizzas going for only $3.59.... How cheap is that. So in the afternoon, Jeremy, Rebecca, Huiqian and I decided to have pizza. It turned out that competition was so strong that Dominos also sold their pizza at $3.59. So we had Domino's in the afternoon.

Then, at night, pizza galore again at Little Caesar's. It was a small but cozy restaurant along the Great Eastern Highway. We drove for about 45 minutes up onto Perth Hills, but it was woth the drive. If you guys wanna get there. Hop on the car, hit Roe Highway and drive all the way till you hit Great Eastern highway then go all the way till the Shire of Manduring...ha ha! There, you will find the world's greatest pizza. It was good. I must say that they have really unique flavours. Bought back one familty size for my friends to try as well. Cheers!

Today was FCC's 13:30 retro night. It was so much fun. Getting everyone to wear their daddys' and mummys' clothes. Looking so 60s or 70s or 80s....ha ha! The whole church was also decorated very appropriately for the occasion. Like the "Growing Up" set. And yeah, I joined in the fun and wore the most retro stuff I had. Combed my hair back and even wore my spare (Army) specs...ha ha! Haiz... people say I look like the father in the "Growing Up" series. But I have to admit that I do look like really old with the specs. Well, it's just all part of the fun of dressing up I guess...ha ha! Had a really good celebration worship as well. Anyway, the whole retro thing is about a course that the people in the 60s live by. Like at the time when people lived for peace. They have a course. So same as for us. We must have a course in our life. Isn't this what life is all about? To have a course for what we are living for. To live so that everything we do does not go to waste. Yep, for I know that living in Christ is a life that is lived for eternity. Enjoy the pictures.

Today’s Daisy’s birthday. It was so sweet and nice of her to invite us and cook for us a great meal. We had sushi, gado gado, chicken wings and she even made spring rolls, samosa and cream puffs herself. I say, she’s really good! Besides that, Jackson did a roast beef and Adriel contributed a very nice cheesy baked pasta. It was another night of feasting for me. Good thing I saved my stomach for it…ha ha! Her birthday cake was a delicious ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins. But the fun had not start yet, after watching Gladiator on tv, we all decided to play drinking games. It was so funny lah the games. Good thing that we did not use any alcohol but substitued it with Ribena instead. We played so many lame games lah. Never knew drinking games were so funny and actually requires lots of concentration as well. Ha ha… never laughed so much in one night before. Well, I had a good time tonight! Happy Birthday Daisy!

Good day everyone. So happy to be launching the first issue of “OZZZ MAG” today. This is the online magazine where not only will you be able to read about my adventures, but get some cool info as well. This is the magazine where you can be part of the “land of ozzz” experience. This is the part where I will fill you in completely with what is going on. So you just gotta keep a look out for more exciting issue coming your way.

For this first issue. I am bringing you guys to THE MOON – LATE NIGHT CAFÉ. I saw this place when I walked pass it the other time. Anyone that walks pass it will definitely be captured by the retro interior of this café. Imagine a typical American café complete with the bar stools and bar tops. So I decided to check this place out with my friends Melissa, Marian and Kershia. Located at North Bridge, just walking distance from the Brass Monket Bar and Grill. This café serves American and Western food from burgers to pastas. The portion is very generous and the price range is between $13 to $20. For a place like Perth, it is quite reasonable. My recommendation, go for the Moon burger, which is a huge chunk of beef in between perfectly toasted Turkish bun. It is served with the mountain of fries as well. Also, go for the nachos which is a huge portion as well. Enough to go around the table.

Besides food, you can go there for a nice drink with a range of cocktail and some of their specialty drinks. On selected nights, they have also live Jazz Bands at the café itself. The best part of it all, it is a LATE NIGHT Café. So, if you feel hungry in the late nights, or wanna grab a coffee or catch up with a friend or just to catch the live band, The Moon will be a nice place to go. Driving there is not a problem as well. There is free parking just down the road.

The Moon – Late night Café
Mon- Tues : 6pm – Late
Wed- Sun : 11am – Late
Fully Licenced & BYO
Shop 2/323 William Street NORTHBRIDGE

The next place, we’ll take a drive down from Northbridge to the nice beach of Cottesloe. The Blue Duck is a café restaurant set right on the beach of Cottesloe. It has a great view of the beach and the sea beyond that just spell serenity. This restaurant is a little more on the expensive side. A fine restaurant however, you can still go with just your beach wear. They are not picky about it. The restaurant servers a fusion of Western and Asian cuisine. Their menus includes a list of their daily special with a price range of about $16 to $40. However, if you feel that you are a little tight, may I suggest you pop by there for an afternoon tea instead. The best time to go is around 4pm where the sun is not too scorching and the weather is just nice and cool. Blue Duck is famous for their cakes which is just packed with flavour guaranteed to entice your taste buds. Cakes are just going for $5.50 a slice. You can get a cake, a cup of coffee, request for the patio seats facing the blue sea and just watch the sunset on a lazy afternoon. Great place to go to relax and also a great place to go if you wanna have a quiet place to study. The restaurant is usually crowded during meal times but during late afternoons are fairly empty. You can go for dinner as well, but be sure to call up to make a booking. Dinner times are usually very crowded at the Blue Duck.

Tuesday is movie day here is Perth where tickets are $8.50 only as compared to $9 or $10 or more on other days. Met up with Sarah-Jane, Shirley, Irene and Mark for a movie at Freo. We watched this one called Inside Man by Jodie Foster and Denzel Washington. The story plot is really ingenious and smart, although the show is a little draggy. Also, is has this bangrah (Indian) music as it’s main soundtrack. All of us found it really funny and weird. Does not seem to connect to the film in any sense at all…ha ha!

After that, we went and had dinner at Little Creatures. Well, Sarah-Jane was craving for Tiramisu. So we went there specially for the dessert only actually….ha ha! Had pizza and chilli mussels before we jumped eagerly into dessert. If you are reading this, Little Creature’s Tiramisu and Mud cake is not to be missed.

Just came back from Flat 9. Had a dessert night there and again, ate quite a bit of all the sweet and sinful stuff. I made fried ice cream by popular demand and there were many other stuff there as well. Let’s see, there are muffins, apple pies, Oneh Oneh, cookies etc. After that, I learnt this new game called SPOON. Well, if you wanna know how this is played, you gotta come and ask me. What I can tell you is it is violent and you will definitely laugh your guts out!

Easter Sunday! The day of resurrection, victory and new life. After coming back from church, I started to prepare for the Easter feast tonight. I love the kitchen at Weijie’s Villa. It’s so big and stocked up with all the stuff I need. Spent about 3 hours preparing all the food. We had roast beef, fried fish, chips, lots of chips, salad, mushroom soup and broccoli and cauliflower with cheese. The dinner was just great. We had way too much food and finally a time where all 8 of us can come together again to have a good meal together. Shared a lot of funny and lame jokes over the dinner table as well. Had a fantastic time! Check out the pictures.

The Easter weekend and break is upon us. Met up again with Weijie, Meisi and Joey to do some Easter shopping at Carousel….ha ha! Well, basically, I went and bought 2 boxes of Easter eggs. For those who are reading this outside of Ozzieland, Easter here is such a huge thig. I like to say is like Christmas just that this time is Easter eggs and bunnies rather than presents and Santa Claus. There is just so much different kinds of Easter eggs here. From Wrestling ones, to Simpsons, Spongebob ones, Disney cartoon characters, you name them, they have them in the form of Easter eggs. So many of them, unbelievable. I bought a box of Cadbury crunchy and another Cadbury milk chocolate eggs to give out during Easter. Just to soak into the whole Easter thing too…ha ha! Well, I’m waiting for after Easter maybe I can go and get those leftovers on sale too…ha ha!

After that, went down to Ogden’s bar and grill where we had some good BBQ yourself dinner. There was this guy who sang retro songs there the whole night…ha ha! Well, I must say he was good and the songs really got me grooving as well…ha ha! Will wanna go back there again soon!

Weijie has to house sit for a friend so he somehow had the house to himself. I must say is a really cosy big house. It is great with a big kitches, computer, wireless connection, a huge plasma tv and the all so comfortable sofas that are nothing short of a first class seat on a plane. To top it all off, there is these two fun loving dogs there as well, Potter and Fluff. Today, Joey, Meisi, Raine and me went with Weijie to Taurus to have dinner before we headed to his “villa” to have a look. I like the place…ha ha! We played with the dogs, ate ice cream and watched Moulin Rouge and a Robbie Williams concert before leaving the house reluctantly at the wee hours of the morning.

Another surprise party today. This time planned by me and Amelia…ha ha! It is my Huiqian’s birthday today. She is like disappointed that there is nothing special on her birthday today. So you guessed it, our surprise party was a roaring success. She was fooled down to the last minute when we finally revealed everything to her…ha ha! It was a good one. In the morning, Amelia, Joey, Allen and me went to buy all the stuff for the party. We had steamboat and pizza as the mains. Then I went to pick up a cake from simply divine. It was a great time just having everyone together at the Recreation room. Great company, great party, not to forget all the presents she received. Well, it was her first birthday party in Perth. I’m sure she enjoyed it! Take a look at the pics too!

Took a half hour drive down Roe Highway to Swan Valley. My first time at the valley full of vineyard, grapes, cheese and nice juices. I must say we went there at the right time of the year. Just check out the pictures and see all those big juicy grapes. You just drive along the road and the vineyards left and right of you are just filled with grapes. So much of them! I bought a bunch back and Huiqian said it was the best grapes she ever tasted. Very sweet without a pinch of sourness. I also bought some non alcoholic grape juice from this vineyard. It is just like a taste of heaven. No added sugar yet it was sweet as ever. Stopped by Lancaster to pick up some of their dessert wine as well. Not forgetting the chocolate factory where we tasted some chocolates and coffee.

The day is not over yet. You will never believe it. After coming back from Swan Valley, went down to church because I was supposed to help do some filming for the coming church camp. Well, we travelled 2 hours down South to the wonderful town of Busseltton. Went down to this place called Geographe Bay resort and did some filming to promote the July church family camp. I say, the place is really nice and you can relax 101%. So yeah, very impressed. The day ended with a 2 hour drive back and had Domino’s pizza for dinner. So much traveling for just a day; tired but I love it! Adventure come knock on my door!!!
