Tonight went over to Weijie’s aka Ian house for Steamboat. Actually, it was Meisi who heard that we’ve eaten steamboat and she is just craving for it. So it resulted in this steamboat dinner where the whole gang of us went. There were Meisi, Joey, Lydia, Raine, Joo and Zen. Of course also present are Weijie, his sister, Michelle, his brother-in-law, Wendi, and me. We took a bus down in the evening to his house arriving there just before the sky turns dark.

Today the weather was just beautiful and perfect. Like what Weijie said, the weather isn’t freezing neither was it hot. It was the kind of weather where you can have steamboat without breaking out into sweat. Like those from Singapore will know having steamboats or Korean BBQs at Marina Bay is just hot, hot, hot. After your meal, you just emerge smelling of smoke and sweating all over. In Ozzieland, we just have warmth from the steamboat and no sweat whatsoever.

Had the usual stuff like fishballs, fishcakes, beancurd and lots and lots of vegetables. There was so much food that we can’t really finish everything. It was a good, filling but healthy meal at the same time. Along with that, we have chicken rice and to top it off, traditional chicken rice chili (that is actually hot). That is of course courtesy of Weijie’s mum who was down under a week ago.

After dinner the girls gathered to talk ‘girl stuff’ while the guys went to clean up and do the dishes. We talked over some freshly cut fruits and ice-cream as well. It was good tomorrow is the start of the holidays so we stayed till late before getting a ride back home with a very satisfied stomach.
