Finally started a blog. Finally had the time to sit down to write all my happenings down under so that all you people form Singapore(especially) and all over the world can get an idea of what exactly is happeing here. And No.... haven't get to see any kangaroos yet. heard you can only get to see the wild ones if your drive out to the outback.... so none around the suburbs area. Wow... coming here is really culture shock for me. Firstly, the night here is really quiet. No traffic noise, no buses noise and no irritating insects either. It is just still. by 6 it will already be dark. I alwasy say that 7 here feels like 9. By evening... there's nothing much to do already. By 10 can be on bed if you really want.
Anyway, school started for a week already. But I'm quite lucky that I only have lessons from Monday to Wednesday. But not exacly shiok or sliack lah. got lots of reading to do. First day already got some short essay to write. But this sem taking some really cool subjects. one of it is called Screen Productions I. Basically we have our titorials in a TV studio in the school... really cool. we already have editing assignments to do. We gotta like book editing suites to use. Lucky got my come here to give me a head start. But the suites here in school are really pro ones... with dual scrrens and stuff like this. The whole media building is really comprehensive. And I'm proud to say that my screen lecturer and tutor is the only one in the whole of Australia who is really a film director. She has won awards, so she's really experienced. Gonna have a good time. Got another subject called Screen Studies, the lecturer is really a humourous old man. What we do is just watch a movie every week and try to study and write on it. Writing is not my cup of tea but just gotta really do lots of writing and practice real hard for it. lots of writing to do.
Enough about school. Let's talk abit about my flatmates. A cool bunch of people, 8 of us sharing a flat. Think all of us are gonna be really good friends in the end.
First, my neighbour that stays just besides me. Jeremy, Singaporean just like myself. Both of us freshman, out of Army, 21 and all ready to rock Western Australia. He's my buddy man...yeah!
Then, there's Mark. Australian. he's the guy with playstation and tv in his room man. And gotta check out his DVD collection as well. He's totally into cars and speeds. Want some racing games, he's your man.
we have Alex, another Australian guy. He does Chiropractic. For those who don't know. he's expert or gonna be expert in all the bones structure of your body. So if you ever injure, dislocate, he'll make you well again. On top of that, he gives super good massages to those who ask him to...ha ha!
Right opposite me is Sana. The fittest girl in our flat. Hailed all the way from Ohio, USA. Went running with her the other day. Ran 2 whole rounds around our campus....Wow! She really can run. My thighs still straining from that day. But yeah... probably gonna help me loose some weight....ha ha!
Then, our resident comedian and story teller. Candice, one of the coolest Ozzie girl I met. Wow...she's really entertaining and all the stories she tells are really encaptivating. Told her that she can suceed being a stand up comedian! You go girl!!!
Lisi.... the Nike fanatic girl.....ha ha(She actually paste up her Nike plastic bag)! She's another media student. She's really pro with her dual screen in her room to cut videos. She's from Austria and gonna cook us some Austrian dinner this coming Sunday. She rocks!!
Last but definitely not least, Gazala. A very pretty Indian Girl...ha ha! She's really nice to talk to and she's like a balance to all of our flat mates. She's the calm, sweet and nice girl....ha ha!
Wow... written so much stuff already. Well, al these are just the tip of the ice berg. Just all these for now...yeah! Some more be coming!
